Do you live in Chicago? Do you own a car? Have you ever gotten a ticket for parking on the street?
If you said yes to any of those questions, this app is for you.
Car Pal is an app that helps making street parking manageable.
How you ask?
By connecting with the City of Chicago Open Data Portal, Car Pal knows where and when the streets of Chicago are getting cleaned. Car Pal uses this data to remind you ahead of time to move your car so you can avoid getting a parking ticket. All you have to do is to save the location of your parked car and we do the rest.
** Car Pal currently only works in the City of Chicago. We plan to integrate data from other cities shortly. **
Features:
- Snow & Winter Overnight Parking Restrictions (Enforced from Dec 1st to April 1st): This feature will alert you if you park your car in a Winter Overnight parking restriction zone or in a 2in Snow Plowing zone.
- Street Cleaning reminders (Enforced from April 1st to Dec 1st): The feature will alert you 1 day before the street on which you parked your car is being cleaned.
- Car Towing & Relocation information: This feature allows you to check if your car has been towed or relocated by the City of Chicago.
- Parking Meter alarm: This feature allows you to set a parking timer that will remind you 10 minutes before the timer expires.
- Save & Share car location: Car Pal will remember where you parked your car so you don't have to. Car Pal also allows you to share your car location with someone else.
Once you have saved your parked car location, you can locate your car via the app.
This incredibly useful & easy to use app will save you a lot of dollars in the long run.
